Niagara Falls Illumination/Light Show

Hundreds of LED lights positioned at three sites along the Niagara Gorge in Niagara Falls, Ontario, work together to produce a stunning nightly illumination. These lights create a dazzling display that begins at dusk and shines every evening throughout the year.

Niagara Falls is illuminated for holidays and significant occasions throughout the year. The Falls is also lit in custom colors for short durations to mark significant dates in support of charitable causes.

Illumination Hours: 8:30 pm – 2:00 am daily

Beginning Friday, May 16, 2025, and continuing every night through Monday, October 13, 2025, fireworks will make their highly-anticipated return with spectacular displays over the Falls. The majestic Niagara Falls are also illuminated every night of the year, making the destination among the world’s best places to see fireworks displays. Prospect Point offers a good viewing location.

The FREE fireworks display begins at 10:00 PM each night. Displays last 5 minutes. Extended (9 minute) holiday displays are planned for July 1 and 4.

The Niagara Falls Winter Festival of Lights features fireworks over the falls every Friday and Saturday at 8:00pm from November 15 to December 20, 2025. There will be nightly fireworks shows from December 26, 2025 to January 4, 2026. On New Year’s Eve the fireworks show extends to 9 minutes in length, and there will be a bonus show at midnight.
